Since September 1999 TCL has been using a new noise measuring plane consisting of a porous asphalt section and a so-called ISO asphalt sectoin.
The ISO section features a unique 'floor heating system'keeping the surface free of snow and ice.
| The heating system also serves to dry the surface after rainfall,enabling early resumption of testing. The noise measuring plane is permanently equipped with microphones and spectrum analyzers. |
