The Dutch cabinet intends to introduce an ‘Alcohol Interlock Programme’ (AIP) in the near future. In mid July 2008 the cabinet decided to introduce the alcohol interlock programme. The Second Chamber (lower house) has accepted the legislation, which is now on the agenda of the First Chamber (upper house). The cabinet aims at starting the programme in 2011. Realisation of this starting date depends on decision-making on the legislation by the Parliament. More information |
