If you supply goods or services to RDW, RDW Test Centre or Toll Collection, you are required to submit an e-invoice via accounting software or the provider portal. There is always an option that works for you.

E-invoicing is a safe and efficient way of submitting your invoices. An e-invoice is a digital document. E-invoices are processed automatically. Invoices sent by email, in a format like PDF, are not e-invoices. E-invoices are usually sent directly from accounting software, but e-invoices can also be submitted via an invoicing portal.

Submitting e-invoices

You can submit your e-invoices from your accounting software directly. Ask your IT supplier for more information. Another option is to submit your e-invoice via the Peppol network, either directly or via a provider connected to Peppol's invoicing portal

E-invoicing is carried out via the secure international PEPPOL network. The authenticity of the sender and receiver is 100% guaranteed, while ensuring the data remains highly secure. In addition, we can process e-invoices more accurately, quickly and easily.

The structure of an e-invoice

UBL (Universal Business Language) invoices are digital invoices created in accordance with a standardised XML format, a standard established by the Ministry of Economic Affairs. XML (eXtensible Markup Language) is the only file format that allows a digital invoice to be received and processed without human intervention.
An e-invoice consists of two files: a PDF that is clear and easy for people to understand (the preview) and an XML file for the system.

Before submitting an e-invoice, you must select whether the invoice is intended for the RDW, the RDW Test Centre or Toll Collection.

What requirements apply to your e-invoice?

One important element of an e-invoice is the Organisation Identification Number (OIN). This is a unique number that informs the system what organisation the e-invoice pertains to. The RDW’s OIN number is 00000001804770694000.

Incorrect (incomplete) invoices will not be processed. If your invoice fails to meet our invoicing requirements, your invoicing system will display an error or you will receive an email notification.
