The RDW is the so-called ‘controller’ within the meaning of the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR). This means that the RDW decides what personal data are processed, for what purpose and in what manner.

The RDW is responsible for ensuring that your personal data are processed appropriately, with due care and in accordance with the GDPR. According to the GDPR, personal data encompass “any information relating to an identified or identifiable natural person. An identifiable natural person is one who can be identified, directly or indirectly.”
