Qualification Card request by professional drivers
Are you a lorry or bus driver working in the Netherlands, but residing abroad? You can still get your Certificate of Professional Competence (code 95) in the Netherlands. Your employer will help you. If you completed your periodic training in the Netherlands, you can apply for a qualification card as proof of periodic training with us online.
Conditions
- You have a Dutch employer.
- You are not registered at an address in the Netherlands (in the BRP )
- You completed your periodic training in the Netherlands.

Requesting a qualification card

Please have a passport photo made before requesting an application card with us. You can do this at an RDW photographer or photo booth. Search for an RDW photographer or photo booth. Put your signature there too. We will print it on your qualification card.

The photographer will send us your passport photo and signature through a secure digital connection.

We will send you an email and/or text message within a couple of minutes. It will contain an application code. You will need this code to file your application online.

Application for Qualification Card
Fill out the form ‘Requesting a qualification card’. Indicate where you would like to pick up your card.

Pay the fee. This can be done by direct debit. Please check the Fee.

We will review your application within 10 working days. If your application is approved, You will receive an e-mail telling you that your qualification card is ready and where you can pick it up.

Pick up your qualification card from your chosen RDW location within 3 months. No need to make an appointment. Bring your ID and (foreign) driving licence. Do you have a qualification card that was previously issued? You turn it in.
