Reporting loss or theft of driving licence
Have you lost your Dutch driving licence, has it been stolen, or is someone misusing it? Please notify us for free online. Even if you live abroad. We will invalidate your driving licence right away so that no one can misuse it (anymore). Next, apply for a new driving licence.
Conditions for online report
- You have a Dutch driving licence. If not, please consult Lost a foreign driving licence.
- Your driving licence has not been reported missing or stolen before
- You have DigiD
- Your driving licence has not been confiscated.
If you do not meet one of these conditions, or if you are unable to report the loss online from within the Netherlands, please go to your local municipality to report the loss.
