Renewing a pilot licence
A pilot licence is valid for 5 years after the passing date of the exam (an online knowledge test). Renew your pilot licence here.
How to renew your pilot licence
-
First, you will need to retake the exam with a recognised Dutch flight school. The valid A2 or STS determines the expiration date of A1/A3. This means that A1/A3 is valid as long as the A2 or STS is valid. You will have to renew your pilot licence before A2 or STS expires. The expiration date of the highest category obtained is valid for any lower category.
-
If you have successfully passed the exam, the flight school will send you an email. The mail contains a unique link for you to renew your pilot licence with us.
-
Follow the link in the flight school’s email to sign in with DigiD. You are now ready to start your application.
-
You will receive the new pilot licence by email after your iDeal/Wero payment is made.
-
Keep the pilot licence in a safe place. You need to carry it during your flight (printed, on your mobile device or in the app).
