Renewing an operator number

An operator number is valid for 1 year. You can renew it online. This can be done as early as 6 weeks before expiration of your operator number. You are responsible for renewing it in time.

Important to know

  • To renew your operator number, you must be registered in the Basic Registration of Persons (BRP) . Or the company is registered in the trade registry of the Chamber of Commerce (KvK).
  • The operator number applies to all drones you own (operate). The renewal applies to all drones simultaneously.
  • Sign in with the same DigiD or e-Herkenning you used to apply for your operator number.

How to renew your operator number

  1. Sign in with DigiD using the ‘Renewing an operator number’ button. If the operator number is registered in your company's name, sign in with eHerkenning first. Please have your business registration number ready. You can find it on the excerpt or website of the Chamber of Commerce (KvK). A business registration number is not mandatory if you don't have one. Please use the same DigiD/eHerkenning account that you used to apply for the number.

  2. Pay the fee using iDeal/Wero.

  3. You will receive confirmation of the renewal of your operator number by email. Your operator number is personal and will therefore remain the same. It will be valid for another year.
