Ukrainian vehicles: Dutch license plate required before March 4
Ukrainians who have come to the Netherlands must register their vehicle with Dutch license plates before March 4, 2025.
BPM Exemption
Before visiting an RDW inspection station, applicants must first request a BPM exemption for motor vehicles from Ukraine through the Dutch Tax Authority. If the exemption is granted, the vehicle must be inspected at an RDW inspection station. An appointment is required for this process. Additionally, the applicant must be registered with a Dutch municipality, be able to provide identification at the RDW and be at least 18 years old.
