Until now, a free vehicle report was only available on paper or, for example, as a photo file in the advertisement. In the current situation, the RDW vehicle report can be found mainly under the windscreen of cars in used car showrooms.

Online available

This summer, a large number of second-hand websites have built in a new function to make the RDW vehicle report visible online, along with the advertisement of the car. The report contains technical information and gives visitors of used car websites who are interested in a particular used car an extra bit of certainty.

Transparency

“It took time to realise the link, because odometer readings contain privacy and fraud-sensitive information,” says René Vermeulen, Relationship Manager at RDW. “We are pleased that with the RDW vehicle report, which is a reliable piece of information, we can provide potential buyers with reliable information online. The link with online advertisements provides more transparency.”
