Temporarily not using your car

If you decide not to use your vehicle for a long period of time, you can suspend its registration for 1, 2 or 3 years. During the suspension, your vehicle may not be parked or driven on a public road. You do not have to pay motor vehicle tax during this time, nor does your vehicle need to be insured or undergo PTI. You can extend the suspension if you won’t be using the vehicle for an extended period, and cancel the suspension at any time.
