Brexit and your driving licence
With Brexit, the United Kingdom has left the European Union. Since 1 January 2021, the United Kingdom and the European Union have worked together according to different agreements from those applying before that date.
The United Kingdom is no longer a member of the European Union or of the European Free Trade Association (EFTA). If you would like to know about the service provision of the RDW for driving licences from the United Kingdom, please see the rules applying for countries outside the European Union.
