Facemask now obligatory when visiting a RDW inspection and test location

Following the Dutch government’s press conference on 28 September, the RDW (the Netherlands Vehicle Authority) will oblige its staff members and visiting customers to wear a facemask at all its inspection and test locations. Customers will be provided with a facemask when they arrive at an inspection location. In accordance with the guidelines, customers are expected to wear the facemask when they enter an inspection station. This measure takes effect on Wednesday, 30 September.

Our services remain as yet unchanged. Please check our website for any changes. It contains the latest news and provides information on new measures. It also includes a page on RDW’s revised services as a result of the corona virus. It shows which services are not provided by our inspection stations at this time.

Safety at Inspection and Test Locations

To guarantee the safety of our customers and staff members, the guidelines of the (Dutch) National Institute for Public Health and the Environment apply at all RDW inspection and test locations. It is also strongly recommended that customers:

  • only visit an inspection station if they have an appointment;
  • come alone;
  • take account of existing agreements;
  • follow the instructions of RDW staff.
